The Nashik Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with MahaMetro, has unveiled a revised Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) proposing a ₹26,839 crore investment to transform the city's urban transport landscape over the next three decades.
Central to the plan is a 58.08 km light metro network—featuring key corridors such as Gangapur Village to Nashik Road Railway Station—designed to significantly boost public transit capacity and seamless citywide connectivity. To build a robust multimodal transit ecosystem, the blueprint also integrates expanded municipal bus services, road upgrades, new bridges, dedicated cycling corridors, pedestrian-friendly pathways, and multimodal transit hubs
